I chose Jesus! .

Heard a new song this week and boy has it had my mind churning....  Thinking about my life, about my priorities, and about how I hope my life can be summed up with those three simple words, "I chose Jesus!"

God definitely has my life in a state of change.  Infact, I would say, He is turning my world upside down, rearranging my priorities, changing my focus, and taking me on a detour!  I find it hard to explain these days exactly where we are going, what exactly we are doing, but when I heard this song, it literally summed up exactly what Ashley and I are chosing to do with the rest of our lives - We chose Jesus!

We have chosen Jesus in the last few years, but we have not always put Him in first place!  We have played it safe, we have followed our own hearts desires, and we have chosen paths that are comfortable and that look like the acceptable path to the world.  But now, more than ever, I hope people will look at my life and see that is looks like none other than the work of God.  That my words, my actions, my focus is truly a life that screams, " I chose Jesus!"

The coming months looks scary, fun, new, but most of all I can already feel the work that God has begun!  God has called Ashley and I to simply.  To spend less time scattered, running in every direction, and more time focused on Him!  My hearts desire is that the coming year, with all its new twist and turns, leads me smack dab in the arms of my Saviour!

Let me end on this note....   I am not sure where life may find you tonight.  But I know from personal heart ache and pain that most of us long for a life of simplicity.   We wish we could start over, start new.  May the words of this song inspire you to chose Jesus!  It really is that simple.  It really does provide the most overwhelming peace.  It wipes away hurts and pain, it wipes away pasts that are destroying us, and it provides us with the hope of an amazing eternity spent in the arms of our Father!

Will you chose Jesus today?!  Click on the link, what a gorgeous song!

  1. Beautiful, Amy! So glad to see you listening to the quiet voice of the Lord as He leads you and Ashley. :) We all need to hear it more often and our paths would be more blessed!
